Eight high school seniors all named Nguyen teamed up to write an eight-part yearbook quote that also functions as a FAQ page: “We know what you’re thinking, and no, we’re not related!”

By themselves, “what” and “and” are gonna be kinda hard to explain to your kids. But at least they beat “Live, love, laugh” and “Make your smile change the world!”

UPDATE: A reader explains the name’s pronunciation:

For those interested in knowing how “Nguyen” is actually prounounced, the “ng” sound is the exactly the last phoneme (i.e., the last sound at the end) of the word “ring.” Very few non-Vietnamese people can articulate that sound at the beginning of words, hence the closest English language approximation being “win.”
